Chesapeake vs. other retrieversThis is a featured page

Every year a national field trial is held. There are over 40 Labradors (and judges that own Labradors) to every Chesapeake Bay Retriever. Every 5-10 years the Chesapeake Bay Retrievers run away with the national conpetition. Even if the judges were not prejuduce this is 5-8 times as often as the Chesapeake Bay Retriever should win statistically if the breeds were equal as retrievers. In 2001 there were 180,000 Labs which is the most common breed registered. There were only 4500 Chesapeake Bay Retrievers.
